Lentit does not collect, store or transmit any personal data to the provider or to third parties. There are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics, no trackers and no server run by the provider. The app contains no networking code at all.
Everything you enter — the names of the items, the names of the people, dates and photos — is stored locally on your device only (iOS Data Protection). There is no synchronisation: Lentit uses neither iCloud nor any other cloud service.
If you have set up a device backup, this data is part of that backup. Apple’s privacy terms apply to it.
When you record who borrowed something, you store another person’s name. That name also stays on your device and is neither transmitted nor analysed. For private use, this falls under the household exemption of the GDPR (Art. 2(2)(c)).
To fill in the field „Who has it?”, you can pick someone from your contacts. Lentit opens the system contact picker, which runs outside the app. The app only receives the name of the person you tap — it gets no access to your address book and does not request the corresponding permission. You can always type a name by hand instead.
You can attach a photo to an entry so you recognise the item later.
For the camera, Lentit asks for the iOS permission — and only at the moment you actually take a photo. To pick an existing image, Lentit opens the system photo picker, which also runs outside the app; your photo library is never accessed by Lentit itself.
Photos are downscaled and stored locally. They are not transmitted.
If you deny the camera permission, the app remains fully usable — photos are optional.
Deletion: remove entries individually with a swipe, or all of them by deleting the app. Portability and access: since no data is transmitted to the provider, the provider holds no personal data about you. Requests for access or deletion would therefore come up empty — your data is yours alone, on your device.
